This stake anvil fits into a 1 1/2 tapered hole. This stake is marked with the broad arrow which is the british royal property mark. The mark was used on all items used yb the british military. The construction and craftmanship is excellent and solid. The stake is faced with a steel faceplate, just like anvils are. There is some pittign which is common for its age. This kind of stake are almost impossible to find. This stake could easily date to the late 1800s and possibly even earlier. Note thsi auction is for the beakhorn stake anvil only. The stump (stake holder), conductor stake and stake anvil are not included. The stump (stake holder) conductor stake and stake anvil will be offered in other auctions.
