20 Blacksmith Farrier Coal Forge With New BloweranvilThis is a homemade coal forge with a new all metal blower, approx. 100 cfm. It works very good and is small enough to be transported easily and stored in small areas like a garage or closet. It has a small side table to support metal being forged and to protect the blower from rain or accidentally dropped metal. The fire pan is 20 across at top 3 1/4 deep and the overall height is 26 1/4 tall. The forge is built on three legs and is very stable even on slightly unlevel ground. The legs also screw off for stoarge or transportation. The tuyere is removeabel for easy ash clean out. This forge reaches working temperature very quick and heats metal to welding temperature if so desired. The air gate on the blwoer easily controls flame and temperature. This item is handmade from reclaimed metal, therefore some blemishes from the cutting process, or rust, or a glass coating may be on the metal before sanding and painting. I put this so you will know there may be some surface roughness, but i use thcik solid metal for my forge pans, and that's better than new thin metal any day. Other parts that do not touch the fire may be thinner in order to keep weight and shipping costs under control. I use reclaimed metal because it helps me keep the price down nad still sell a quality forge. The reclaimed metal that i use has not eben exposed to any hazordous materials only fresh water. My supply of metal is safe. Everyone has been well satisfied with the forges i have built. I think you would be very happy with this forge, so happy bidding. The question has bene asked, why is there electrical tape on the cord of a brand new blower. The answer is, these blowers were shipped to me without power cords only wires sticking out of the motor. So, when i attach the power cord, i use ul apprvoed electrical tape to insulate the connection. Warning this product reaches high temperatures thta can be dangerous. So by bidding or buying this product, buyer assumes all responsibility for the use of this product. If oyu do not agree, then do not bid. This forge is portable, and therefore it can be turned over. Safety should eb used when operating this forge. Kids should not use without adult supervision and proper safety. By bidding, you assume all responsibility of the safe use of this forge. |
