Clean 226 Lb Henry Wright Blacksmith AnvilMatchlessantiques is offering collectors and smiths this 226 lb. Henry wright balcksmith anvil. This anvil was made in dudley, england yb the anvil maker henry wright. After having sold several henry wright anvils i have noticed that a common characteristic on the henry wright is that the hardie hole is chamfered quite a bit, where the peter wright anvils are not. The other fact with this anvil is that it is marked with the weight marks on the opposite side of the side the trademark would eb on. Henry wright did marks his early anvils in stoneweight on the opposite side of the trademark. This anvils tradeamrk is gone. A former owner used a punch to put his name on the anvil. The weight marks read 2 0 2 or 226 lbs. This anvil's face is smooth, clean and flat. The edges are in very good condition. The horn and table do have some use marks. This anvil has a very nice rebound. This would be a fantastic addition to any blacksmith shop. The measurements are length 28 1/2, face 4 3/4 x 17 1/2, horn 11, height 12 1/2, hardie hole 1, pritchel hole 7/16, base 10 1/2 x 11 3/4, actual weight 221 lb.
