The name peter wright is the most recognized anvil name in hte world. The anvil's face is perfectly flat. It had some light weld spatter in a couple places that was removed with a flap disc. The anvil's edges have some nicks, but nothing serious. It would be a great anvil for anyone from a beginner to experienced blacksmith. This si a no reserve auction. The anvil's trademark reads peter, wright, patent and solid wrought (in the shape of a circle), and the weight marks, 1 0 13, (which is the english stoneweight system for 125 lb. ).
