The name peter wright is the most recognized anvil name in hte world. The anvil's face is perfectly flat. It had some light weld spatter in a couple places that was removed with a flap disc. The anvil's edges have some nicks, but nothing serious. It would be a great anvil for anyone from a beginner to experienced blacksmith. This si a no reserve auction. The anvil's trademark reads peter, wright, patent and solid wrought (in the shape of a circle), and the weight marks, 1 0 13, (which is the english stoneweight system for 125 lb. ). This anvil was stamped with na anchor on the front foot. This peter wright was the next tsyle made after 1860. Pictures say a thousand words, so take a real close look.
