Vintage 18 Blacksmith Farrier Coal Forge Pan W Blower
This si a portable hand forge that i bought years ago from a retired farmer. I was planning on getting into blacksmithing at the time and juts never did. Now i have tennis elbow and see in no future that i would use it along with babysitting the grand kids. Celaning out the garage and this has been taking up floor space and needs to go. I am starting out the bid for what i paid for it years ago.
These are getting harder to find in workign condition and not rusted out. The top bed is 18 across x 3 deep. tI stands 33-1/2 tall. There is a leather belt that drievs the blower. The blower works fine using the handle. I did have this fired up once many years ago. On the bottom the leg support round ring need to be re-attached with 4 bolts. There is a counter weight to help assist on the return stoke when using the handle. It also has a air gate on the bottom of the blower ot control the air.The main pan is not just thick steel but original cast iron. I have a coal in a 5 pail that will go along with this. I did not take a picture of that. If you need more picture than what i have added please ask and i can e-mail others. This has been stored indoors as long as i had it and the farmer had it stored in a shed. There is some surface rust but is solid. There is one tab broke on the blower but that dose not effect the workings of the blower. The teeth on the rack and gear are all good. I wlil not ship this item so pick-up only. I will accept money orders, personal checks (but will be held for 10 days to clear before shipping), and pay pal. Payment to be made 10 days of the end of the auction billing / shipping notice.
